Created by Defuse2k — indie developer from India
Online Tennis is a free browser-based arcade tennis game built entirely with HTML5 canvas and JavaScript — no plugins, no downloads, no paywalls. Just open the link and play instantly on any device.
It was created by Defuse2k, a solo indie developer from India, as part of a personal mission to build a portfolio of high-quality free browser games that anyone in the world can enjoy.
After spending years in a traditional job, I wanted to return to what I actually love — building things. Games specifically. Small, focused, polished experiences that people can pick up in 30 seconds and enjoy for hours.
My first game was Space Arcade — a browser space shooter built in two weeks as a creative challenge. Online Tennis came next, this time with a different goal: could I make a sports game feel genuinely fast and satisfying using nothing but the HTML5 canvas API?
The answer — after a lot of iteration on ball physics, mobile touch handling, perspective-aware boundaries, and AI difficulty tuning — is yes.
This is just the beginning. The long-term goal is to build a small collection of web games — each one free, polished, and genuinely fun — that generate enough ad revenue to sustain continued development.
Future plans for Online Tennis include:
A retro browser space shooter with 3 boss battles, power-ups and endless difficulty scaling. Built with Phaser 3.
